these days i tried to broaden my musical tastes, i tried to listen some musical genres that is still 'new' or unfamiliar to me.

the first one is hip-hop / rap:
Artist: Lupe Fiasco
Album: Lupe Fiasco's Food And Liquor
i lisetened hip-hop / rap from now and then, but ironically i never really listened hip-hop / rap from the black artists where the genre was invented / originated, so this is my first plunge, i decided to listen particularly to Lupe Fiasco, because so far i only hear / read good things about him and his works, so that's why i decided to bought his CD.

i liked it, even though for hip-hop/rap i still prefer Beastie Boys, but Lupe's style is different from the Beasties, and his lyrics are more meaningful than (most of) the Beasties songs, that's what i liked, i still didn't really understand how to judge hip-hop / rap genre but maybe someday i'll understand.

the second one is prog / psychedelic / unique / whatever rock:
Artist: The Mars Volta
Album: The Bedlam in goliath
i don't really know what genre The Mars Volta is in, but i only can say this: AWESOME, the songs are chaotic and restless in this album, there almost no time to breathe when you listened this album, from the first track you'll encounter a BANG......

listen to this band.. seriously this band is fucking awesome
